About

This is my personal blog, a place to fill the writing void left by stones still unturned in my academic writing or the other places in space where I create. You can read more about my academic (which are my “main” interests) interests here. This space is not an attempt to compartmentalize the personal from the professional, public from private. There is no “theme” as it were. I don’t know were the rabbit hole leads. I simply blog to be. “Blogito, ergo sum.” I’m an editor and contributing writer at america adrift, an American Studies community blog, and a contributing writer at the Agonist.

My CV reads like a bizarre collage of odd jobs with the occasional lapse into banality. In the few years since moving to Denmark, I’ve become; a husband, father, student, English teacher, gardener, after school club leader, handicap assistant, waiter, butcher and baker. I’ve yet to find a candlestick maker. When I’m not online I’m usually taking long bike rides with the family or passing on the joys of 80’s “popular” music to my wife and son, though the former insists I shouldn’t.
